Willie E. Winterfeld, age 82, of Swanton, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday morning, April 29, 2011, at Swanton Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on December 19, 1928 in Holland, Ohio, to Clarence and Rosa (Drewyer). He married Violet Timpe, and she preceded him in death in June of 1990.

Willie was employed by Uconco as a maintenance worker. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Thomas (Barbara Kelly) Winterfeld, Dorothy (Rick) Main and Timothy Winterfeld; grandchildren, David (Lisa) Winterfeld, Michelle Winterfeld, Julie Stewart, Tina (Ken) Garland, Jason (Marisela) Fisher, Nickiy (Kevin) Johnson and Michael, Jessica, Kemberley and Cassandra Main; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter and Joseph (JoAnn) Winterfeld; and sisters, Orletta (Ed) Jordan, Genevieve Black, Tina Kocinski, Rosella (James) Niday and Janet (Chuck) Barnhart.

Besides his parents and his wife, Violet, Willie was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd, Harold, Lloyd, John and Richard; and sister, Barbara.

Friends and family may visit Monday, May 2nd from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rick Main and Ken Garland officiating. Interment will be private.
