William E. Sturtevant

William E. Sturtevant, age 64, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away suddenly as the result of a cardiac arrest, Wednesday morning, March 4, 2015, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Bill was born September 12, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Helen (Albon) Sturtevant. Bill was a 1969 graduate of Swanton High School, and married Connie Mikola on July 26, 1986.

Bill worked at Scottdel as a logistics manager, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, telling jokes, and hanging out at Loma Linda's. He was also an avid Nascar and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Connie; son, Scott (Sharon) Sturtevant; daughter, Ada Shaver; stepsons, Jay (Jen) Ronau and Kris (Jess) Ronau; sisters, Carol (Jim) Jordan, Joyce (George) Miller and Jeanie Sturtevant-Schumacher; brother, Scott (Nanette) Sturtevant; grandchildren, Levi and Kyle Sturtevant, Amanda, Sadie and Megan Shaver, and Gwen Ronau; sister and brother in-law, Pam (Tom) Tolford; and brother-in-law, John Stitle.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen and sister, Penny Stitle.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th, at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631).
