Timothy D. Forrest

Timothy D. Forrest, a loving brother and uncle who brought joy to all who knew him, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 11, 2023 due to natural causes. Born on May 27, 1953 in Toledo Ohio, Tim was the son of Donald Leroy and Phyllis Joan (Dennis) Forrest.

After graduating from Swanton High School in 1971, Tim went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University. Throughout his high school and college years, Tim found great pleasure in performing in theater shows.
Following his formal education, Tim embarked on a career at Xerox and retired from Lowe’s.

Tim had an affinity for the simple things in life - whether it was getting together with friends or hanging out with high school classmates. He particularly cherished having brunch with his cousins once a week. Although he loved socializing, Tim was also content exploring his hobbies and interests which included flower gardening, cooking, reading, fishing and caring for his cats.

Those who knew Tim can attest to his sharp wit and great sense of humor which left them laughing. He had a fondness for teasing his sister Valerie whom he loved dearly.

Left to cherish Tim's memory is his sister Valerie (Marvin) Anderson; nephew Joshua Anderson; niece Gabrielle (Jason) Wegner and great-niece Emmeline Wegner. Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton, where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or Swanton Fire & Rescue.
