Thomas L. Bivins

Thomas Lee Bivins, age 66, of Metamora, Ohio died unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born March 19, 1952 in Ventura, California to Thomas  and Effie (Cummins) Bivins. As a child Tommy lived all over the West Coast. He served in the Vietnam War, worked as a plumber and was very proud of his maintenance position at Beroske's Greenhouse.

 
Tommy lived a full life and to it's fullest! He was a one of a kind "gentleman" and his smile lit up at any familiar face. His friends were like family and he always reminded you of this. He had a gentle and generous heart. He never failed to help anyone in need. His greatest gift was letting everyone in his life for us all to share. Anyone who knew him was proud to call him friend.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Cessna) Bivins whom he married on March 26, 2014; his children: Carolyn Roden, Eric, Kimberly and Aaron Bivins; step-children, Donald Sturdevant, Deanna Sturdevant and Drew Greene; Sisters, Nancy Smith, Shirley Bivins, Dena (Mike) Greenleaf and Tammy Wahlgren, all of Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held at Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, Ohio on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating.
