Thelma B. Koperski, age 82, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in her home, Sunday morning, August 9, 2009. She was born October 29, 1926 in Wauseon, Ohio to Theodore and Ada (Williams) Yedica. On June 2, 1951, she married Edwin Koperski. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1999.

Thelma was a simple lady who enjoyed having family and friends come to her house to visit.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonita (Lester) Serr and Kathleen Veres (Don Todd) both of Swanton, OH; sister, Juanita (Walt) Ellinwood of Citrus Springs, FL; brothers, Dean (Joyce) Yedica of Swanton, OH, Martin (Mary) Yedica of Montpelier, OH and David Yedica of Napoleon, OH; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, Edwin, Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Butler; brother, George; and sisters, Donna and Betty.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, August 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Brian Haller officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
