Susan Elizabeth Hall

Susan Elizabeth Hall, age 67, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, April 17, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born March 3, 1947 in Muncie, Indiana to William Russell and Dorothy Mae (Werner) Natter. Susan worked as a clerk for 20 years for the Village of Swanton, and was recently employed as a Secretary for Edward L. Snyder, Attorney.

Sue was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish, and was very involved in the Swanton community - serving as a volunteer on the Swanton Rescue Squad for 18 years, and volunteer with OURCCL of Swanton for 12 years.

Sue also served on the Swanton Band Boosters for 17 years. She was a "band mom" to hundreds of Swanton area students and was always there to make repairs to their band uniforms. Her hobbies included cake decorating and making crafts, especially ceramics. She also enjoyed quiet evenings on her yard swing.

Sue will be remembered as a great mom, daughter, sister and friend to everyone.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Dorothy; children, Lisa (Derich) Chapman, Scott (Sandra) Hall, Steven (Tracy) Hall, Shawn (Ana) Hall, and Dawn (Tony) Walker; 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Sam) Smucker, Patricia (Tom) Coleman, William Natter, Janet (Ken) Buck, Deborah (Charles) Weagley, Gloria (Carl) Calcara, Kevin Natter, and Christina (Tim) Krohn; as well as many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, William.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 23rd from 10:00 am. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Deacons Jerry Ziemkiewicz and Carl Calcara assisting the presiding priest. Interment will follow at a later date in St. Richard’s Memorial Gardens.

Mass of Resurrection: Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00 am at St. Richard Catholic Church
