Sandra S. Ditch, age 66, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, August 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. She was born March 7, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Dorothy (Davis) Bauder. On September 2, 1967, she married James L. Ditch. Sandra was a homemaker raising their three sons, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Sandra had a great love for raising cockatiels and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James; father, William; sons, Mike (Jolie) Ditch, Scott (Tanya) Ditch, and Mark Ditch; grandchildren, Kiley, Dylan, and Hannah; and sister, Kathy Bauder.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, and grandmother, Mary.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, August 31st from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora. Prayers will begin in the funeral home, Wednesday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church at Marygrove, 1750 N. Raab Road. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Interment will follow at Marygrove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
