Sandra Kay Coe

Sandra Kay Coe, age 73, of Swanton, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022. The eldest daughter of Robert and Doris Barringer, Sandy was born on March 3, 1948 in Fostoria, Ohio. After graduating from Fostoria High School in Fostoria, Ohio, she studied nursing at Owens Community College becoming a registered nurse. On August 15, 1981, she married Jim Coe of Bowling Green, Ohio.

Sandy leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Jim; two children, Tim (Shannon) Roberts and Kevin Roberts; two grandchildren, Tyler and Nick; sisters, Judith Hartley and Nancy Bateson; brothers, Bruce (Lisa) Barringer and Brian (Maureen) Barringer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sandy is predeceased by her mother and father, Robert and Doris Barringer.

Sandy was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, quilting/sewing/crocheting, riding horses at Oak Openings, and especially playing games and fishing with her grandson Nick.

At the end of her life, Sandy received the most devoted care from the loving staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. For this, Sandy’s family is eternally grateful. Most of all, Sandy will be best remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. At Sandy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
