Ruby Sperling

Ruby Jewell Sperling, age 97, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 12, 2024, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio. She was born May 16, 1926, in Decatur, Alabama to Abbie and Julia (Johns) Die. She was married in 1961 in Holland, Ohio.

Ruby was a homemaker and tended to her family who she loved very much. She had a strong sense of faith, an apostolic Christian who loved the bible. She kept busy with hobbies she enjoyed- going out to eat, taking drives through the parks, coloring books, crochet, word puzzles, and gardening. She adored her dogs and cats, but above all loved her family- especially her grandkids.

Ruby is survived by brother, Clayton Die; daughter, Sue Ann Daniel; grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Wainscott, James (Angela) Daniel, David (Megan) Daniel; twelve great-grandkids; 9 great-great grandkids; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Allen Daniel; brother, Albert Lee Die; and sister, Hazel Laipply.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, with a funeral service following directly after. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.

The family would like to invite all to a luncheon immediately following the graveside services at Studio 101, 124 N. Main Street, in Swanton.
