Ross Clyde Thompson

Ross Clyde Thompson, age 70, of Swanton, Ohio, died peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side, on his 70th birthday, Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born March 31, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Virginia (Frosch) and Clyde Thompson. He married Helen Marie McIntosh on September 30, 1967 at the Swanton Missionary Church.

After he graduated from high school, Ross worked at Jeep, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and working outdoors.  He also loved trying his luck playing the lottery scratch offs.

Ross will be greatly missed by his wife, Helen; father, Clyde Thompson; son, Jeremia and daughter, Monica Karia; 3 grandchildren, Saedi Marie, BreAnne Marie and Cassandra Marie Briskey and one great-grandchild, Elliott Adame.  He is also survived by his brother, Karl Thompson and sister, Cherreen Thompson.

Ross was preceded in death by mother, Virginia;  daughter, Josette Thompson; brother, Wayne Thompson and sister, TyLynn Thompson.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 4th from 10 a.m. to 12 (Noon)  at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 (Noon).  Pastor Bruce Perry will officiate. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
