Rose Mary Ronau, age 86, of Berkey, Ohio, entered into eternal rest, Monday morning, November 2, 2009. One of six children, she was born July 13, 1923 in Swanton, Ohio to Henry & Mary (Smith) Buckenmeyer. On September 15, 1945, she married Raymond Ronau at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Marygrove, and together they had four sons.

Rose Mary was a homemaker and a wonderful seamstress and sewer. She was known for her beautiful quilts. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and past-president of St. Elizabeth Altar-Rosary Society. Rose Mary prayed the Rosary daily. She was a member of mothers of twins club and Bunco club.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Raymond; sons, Gerald (Debra), Owen (Suzanne), Douglas (Kim), and Doyle Ronau; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Barkhimer, Jason (Stephanie) Ronau, Tara (Cory) Cline, Amanda, Jessica, Andrew, and Alicia Ronau; three great-grandchildren, Damien and Izabella Barkhimer, and Brody Ronau.

Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eric Ronau; brothers, Raymond, John Henry, and Joe; sisters, Virginia Sterret, and Margaret German.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, November 4th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home Thursday, November 5th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception) at Marygrove, 1750 N. Raab Road. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Richfield Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the maintenance fund for Marygrove Church.
