Rose Marie Parsons, age 84, of Swanton, Ohio, a cherished homemaker with a creative spirit, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 3, 2025, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 21, 1940, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Donald C., Sr. and Josephine F. (Carpenter) Holder, and her journey through life was marked by artistry, warmth, and an extraordinary capacity for love. She married Edmund Arthur Parsons in 1971, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2017.

A proud graduate of Waite High School in 1958, Rose Marie poured her heart into everything she did, exhibiting remarkable talent as an artist, painter, and seamstress. Her home was filled with her creations, each piece a testament to her creativity and passion. 

Rose Marie is lovingly remembered for her warm heart, kind soul, and generosity. She made a significant impact on the lives of those around her, earning a reputation as a wonderful and loving person who had an incredible ability to uplift others. Her compassion and kindness were felt by all she encountered.

Rose Marie's greatest joys in life were her family and her beloved dogs. She leaves behind a loving legacy through her daughters, Shelley L. (James) Groves and Sherri M. (Keith) Breyfogle, and her son, Bruce L. (Tina) Hagen, Jr.. Rose Marie was a proud grandmother to Matthew, Nathan (Melanie), Kyle, Merissa (Stuart), Ian, Andreya, Blake, and Logan, as well as a devoted great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Edmund, her parents Donald and Josephine Holder, and her brother, Donald Holder. Although she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, ensuring that her kindness and creativity are remembered always.

Graveside services at Toledo Memorial Park will be private.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Nature's Nursery or the Humane Society.
