Robert S. Schetter

Mass of Resurrection Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 11a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church

Robert Schetter, age 83, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Saturday morning, January 19, 2013. He was born December 7,1929 in Toledo, Ohio to the late George and Anna (Morgenstern) Schetter. He married Phyllis Kain on November 29, 1975 and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2012.

Bob was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed taking produce with his family to the farmer’s market. He loved nature and enjoyed fishing by the river and lake, fox hunting, bowling, and snowmobiling. Bob spent a lot of time with family and friends for cookouts over the bonfire.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving sons, Timothy (Rene) Schetter and Gregory Schetter; sister, Rita Gillen; sisters-in-law, Louise Schetter and Teresa Schetter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis; brothers, Louie and Thomas, and sisters, Mary Jane Gross and Phyllis Wright.

Family and friends may gather Tuesday, January 22nd from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m.. Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 23rd from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
