Robert R. Faylor, age 86, of Swanton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, December 27, 2014. He was born December 22, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Don B. and Dorothy B. (Daniels) Faylor. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Following honorable discharge, he married his beloved wife, O. Virginia "Ginny" Flesh. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2007.
Robert worked as a paper handler for The Toledo Blade for 40 years. He was a life member of Adams Conservation Club and the North American Hunting Club. He was an avid bow and rifle hunter, who also enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert E. (Rebecca) Faylor; grandchildren, Kristen Ornatowski (Mick), Kristy (Gordon) Winland, Kelly (Jeremy) Antoszewski, and Corey (Amber) Antoszewski; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Westphal; sister-in-law, Carolyn Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, and wife, Ginny, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Richard and grandson-in-law, Jeremy Ornatowski.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
