Richard F. Sominski, age 86, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Friday afternoon, May 27, 2016, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born July 16, 1929 to Frank and Mary (Nowak) Sominski.
Richard had to deal with cerebral palsy his entire life; however, he was never treated differently by his parents and siblings, and he didn't let his disability stand in the way of his accomplishments. He worked alongside his dad as a truck farmer growing and hauling produce throughout the Northwest Ohio area. His dad instilled in him a strong work ethic, and this trait continued with Richard his entire life.
Richard is survived by his sister, Martha Przybylski; and brothers, Bernard (Shirley) Sominski and Thomas (Toni) Sominski.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gertrude Kosch and Florence Sowers; brother, John Sominski, and 2 infant siblings, Theresa and Edward.
