Rebecca Sue (Kreuz) Reilly

Becky Reilly, 68, passed away Friday evening, September 6, 2024. She and her husband had been living in Westerville, Ohio for the past nine years. They had previously lived in the Philadelphia area, where Becky worked as a reference librarian at Saint Joseph’s University and then as a librarian at the Upper Darby Sellers Memorial Free Library. She loved her job and her coworkers.

Becky grew up in Swanton, where she attended St. Richard’s School and Swanton High School. After receiving a degree in English from the University of Toledo, she earned a master’s degree in library science from Rutgers University. She met Joe Reilly at the University of Toledo and they married in 1983. Their home in Upper Darby was filled with the sounds of their dogs, whom they loved dearly.

Left to mourn and to cherish her memory are her husband Joe (Westerville), father Paul Kreuz (Swanton), brother Roger (Memphis, TN), sister-in-law Szeren Varin (Hobe Sound, FL), nephew Stephen Kreuz (Tarboro, NC), niece Kelly Bryant (Elgin, OR), grandnieces Carolina and Maddy Bryant, and several cousins. Becky was predeceased by her mother Ila and by her brother Dan.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 13th from 2 to 6 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.
