Raymond William Kicklighter, age 66, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born May 25, 1948 in Statesboro, Georgia to Remer William Kicklighter and Louise (Waters) Quick. Raymond served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Raymond worked as a mechanic and dump truck driver for Sandman in Holland for 38 years. His hobby was attending various auctions.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Joann Kicklighter, children, Kristine Kicklighter, Mary Jo (CJ) Valentine, and Joey (Christine) Brown; grandson, Troy Brown; mother, Louise Quick; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; mother-in-law, Rose Bezio; sister-in-law, Penney (James) Slaughterbeck; brother-in-law, Glen (Joann) Pepper; and several nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Remer; 3 brothers, and son, Ray Kicklighter, Jr.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, September 16th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Junior Parker officiating. Interment, with Military Rites, will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
