Randall S. “Randy” Duke, age 59, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon, October 25, 2013, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 16, 1954 in Eden, Michigan to Eugene “Bud” and Corolyn (Woodward) Duke. Randy married Joyce Wilson on April 27, 1980 in Toledo. He worked as an ITO driver for Rexam, retiring in 2012.
Randy loved to watch action movies, he was so proud of his huge in home theater. He was and avid bowler, he made more strikes than anyone on the league. Randy loved to watch football, his favorite team to watch was the Dallas Cowboys.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce Duke; brother, Michael Emmons (Joette) Duke; beloved dog, Penny Duke and many feline friends; brother-in-laws, Robert Wilson, Ronald (Patricia) Wilson, and Paul (Kathy) Wilson; nieces, Lahoma (Jason) Nachtrab, Tenelle Wilson, Vanessa Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Brandie Wilson; nephews, Joshua (Shannon) Wilson, and Shane Wilson.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Lynn Duke; niece, Kendra Joy Wilson; and brother-in-law, Walter Wilson.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, October 27th from 10 to 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m.(noon) with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Senior Independence Hospice.
