Phyllis Kathleen Schetter

Phyllis Kathleen Schetter, age 73, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012. She was born December 17, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Parnell and Clara (Powalowski) Kain. Prior to her marriage to Robert Schetter on November 29, 1975, Phyllis worked as a secretary for WOHO Radio Station and Toledo Railroad Terminal.

Phyllis was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish. She enjoyed playing Bunko and was a member of the OSU Extension Club. She loved painting artwork for family and friends, and even won first prize ribbons from paintings submitted for the Fulton County Fair. Phyllis also had a love of animals.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 36 years, Robert; and sons, Timothy (Rene) Schetter and Gregory Schetter.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Kain.

Family and friends may gather Friday, May 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m.. Visitation will continue Saturday, May 12th from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton or Lucas County Humane Society.
