Paul Edmund Ehret

October 6, 1923 — November 29, 2015

Paul Edmund Ehret, age 92, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born October 6, 1923 in Whitehouse, Ohio to Joseph and Josephine (Dollman) Ehret. He married his beloved wife, Lillian "Peggy" Schondel on March 2, 1946 in St. Richard Catholic Church.

Paul was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish and the Swanton Elks Lodge #2462. He worked as a tool and die maker for Champion Spark Plug in Toledo, retiring as a superintendent in 1982. Paul was an avid musician and trombone player and entertained folks with the Paul Ehret Orchestra for many years.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paulette Ehret, Barbara Ehret, Paul Ehret, Bonnie Ehret and Louis (Dawn) Ehret; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; his parents; daughter-in-law, Diana Ehret and brother, Clarence Ehret.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, December 3rd from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where an Elks Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of Rosary. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church with Fr. Walter Tuscano presiding and Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz assisting. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Mass of Resurrection: Friday, December 4th at 11:00 am at St. Richard Catholic Church

Interment: St. Richard's Cemetery
