Patricia Arlene Franklin

Patricia Arlene Franklin, age 74, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 28, 2023 at Embassy of Swanton. She was born on August 24, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Emma (Hemple) Hayden. She was a 1967 graduate of Libbey High School, she married the love of her life, Clayton Franklin, Jr. on June 5, 1971.

Patricia was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and going fishing and camping with Clayton. Patricia loved getting in the car and going on long, endless drives.  She never missed any of her boys sporting events over the years. One of her biggest joys was cooking and baking for family gatherings. Most of all, she loved all her children, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Patricia is survived her husband of 52 years, Clayton Franklin, Jr.; sons, Clayton (Jill) Franklin III, Randy (Lynn) Franklin and Danny (Michelle) Franklin; brother, Richard (Carol) Hayden; sister-in-law, Gene Hayden; brother-in-law, Mitchell Tonoff, 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Tonoff, brother, Donald Hayden and great-grandchild, Jamie.

A memorial dinner will be held Wednesday, October 4th at 5:00 p.m. at 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania, Ohio. Located on the campus at Lourdes University. Look for the "Sisters of Saint Francis" sign at the end of the driveway on Convent Blvd.
