Norman Randolph, age 83, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, October 19, 2008 in his home. He was born March 16, 1925 in Cookeville, Tennessee to Luther and Ollie Mae (Phy) Randolph. On May 13, 1944, he married Lucille Ann Robinson. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2008. Norman was owner and operator of R & B Construction from 1954 until his retirement in 1984.

During the winter months, he enjoyed traveling with his wife to Tampa, Florida and Arizona. He also loved spending time at the cottage in Pennsylvania. Norman was an avid hunter and member of the NRA. He also enjoyed fishing. He loved gardening and growing apples, grapes and peaches.

He is survived by his children; Beverly DuBois of Delta, OH, Carol (Norbert) McNett of Sylvania, OH, David (Bonnie) Randolph of Delta, OH, Nancy Reynolds of Sidney, OH and Joyce (Lee) Bolton of Napoleon, OH; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Lucille, Norman was preceded in death by his parents; son, Norman Randolph, Jr.; siblings, Robert Harold Randolph, Virginia Kathleen Withers, Myrtle Marie Bryant, Carrie Betty Jean Rittenbery and Billy Joe Randolph.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, October 21st from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, Ohio (419-644-3601). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
