Nicholas James Johnson

Nicholas James “Nick” Johnson, age 23, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 31, 2021, at McLaren St. Luke's Hospital. Nicholas was born November 14, 1997 in Toledo, Ohio to James L. and Mary (Heifner) Johnson. He graduated from Wauseon High School, and attended the work transition program for two years at Four County.

Nick worked at Arby’s in Wauseon and attended We Are Limitless in Defiance. Nick was known for his wonderful big hugs. He enjoyed horseback riding, Cub Scouts, and was involved with the Fulton County Special Olympics. He loved swimming and bowling. When Nick wasn’t working, playing sports or hanging out with his friends, he enjoyed listening to music sung by Elvis and Johnny Cash.

Nick touched several lives and will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted mom, Mary Johnson; brother, Tyler (Amber) Johnson; nieces, Anna and Emmaleigh Johnson; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nick was preceded in death by his dad, James Johnson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5th at 12:00 (Noon) in the funeral home, with Pastor David Rison officiating. Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery.
