Naomi Ruth Jeffries

Naomi Ruth Jeffries, age 73, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born March 14, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Otto M. and Mildred L. (Fink) Lenz. She graduated from Libbey High School and on June 3, 1961 married Eugene Jeffries.

Naomi was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swanton.

She worked for Bell as a telephone operator, a clerk for Woolworth’s Craft Store, and as a seasonal transplanter at R & L Greenhouse. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, outdoor gardening, and tending to her flowers and vegetables in her greenhouse located inside her home.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Eugene; daughter, Lauretta Jeffries; son, Ronald (Tami) Jeffries; grandchildren, John Slawinski, Brianna Jeffries and Cody Jeffries; and brothers, Fred (Mal) Lenz, Ron (Barb) Lenz, and Ken (Candy) Lenz.

A Memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, February 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, where services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lawrence Jeffries officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
