It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Shenefield announces his passing on October 13, 2024. Mike, age 40, was the child of Debbie Shenefield (Tim Kolhoff) and Bob Shenefield (Joyce). Mike graduated in 2003 from Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, Ohio. Mike went on to graduate from Penta Tech in Engineering specializing in Auto Mechanics. Many times Mike would lead discussions as he had a great knowledge of the subject. Mike is the proud father of two boys, Ben (21) and Xavier (16). Mike has two brothers, Steve (Heidi) and Scooter (Melissa). He was preceded in death by his sister, Liza Gentry.
Mike was employed by a few auto repair shops and made a great name for himself in that field. He was in the process of establishing his own business repairing cars as he had acquired a respectful reputation of an accurate Auto Mechanic. He had many past customers, friends and family that he helped greatly. Many knew if they needed great repairs to consult with Mike. He was a "people-person" and would help with anything if he could. Mike had a well stocked repair shop behind his house. In his younger days, Mike was into music and played drums and guitar in many recreational bands and enjoyed music with his family. He really enjoyed drag racing at the strip in his car in his early years. Mike also enjoyed horseback riding and was a huge help in the family barn/horse-care. Mike was also a huge animal lover and saved many lost animals.
A private celebration of Mike's life will occur soon as convenient and include a brief ceremony from his father's, Bob and his wife Joyce's, friend and retired Minister.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
