Michael S. Dooley, age 68, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning, June 4, 2015, at Heartland of Waterville. He was born May 15, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold Joseph and Eleanor Mae (Buffington) Dooley. Michael was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the United States Navy. He married Carolyn Kay Cogan on November 21, 1976.
Michael worked at Jeep as a sheet metal worker and welder, retiring in 2007.
He was an accomplished artist and spent many hours enjoying his passion of oil painting, sculpting and drawing in his own art studio at home.
Michael is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn; children, Becky (Zale) Ziviski, Michael Dooley and Timothy (Jaime) Dooley; grandchildren, Quentin and Isiah Dooley, Courtney Ziviski and Jaired (Gabriella) Ziviski; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Zaden Ziviski,; half-brothers, Harold Joseph Dooley, Jr. and Brian Dooley; half-sisters, Marjo and Dagmar; step-sisters, Cathy Allion, Dottie, and Jeannie; and several nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Eleanor; step-father, Noble Dean; and brothers, Ronald L. and Timothy L. Dooley
In respect of Michael's wishes, there will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donors choice.
