Matilda Jane Crabtree

Graveside Services: Tuesday, August 26th at 1:00 pm (CST) at Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky

Matilda Jane Crabtree, age 80, of Perrysburg, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2014 at Heartland of Perrysburg. She was born October 9, 1933, in Nevada, Ohio to the late Julius and Evelyn Dena (Sharp) Bloomfield.

Jane worked as a housekeeper at Whitehouse Country Manor, retiring in 1995. She loved camping and traveling, especially taking trips out west.

Jane is survived by her stepdaughter, Jean (David) Baker; brother, Archie Bloomfield of Monclova, OH; sisters, Thelma Rathburn of Upton, KY and Bertha Adkins of Monclova, OH; 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; special friends, Kathy Barnes, Gil and Rene Garcia and Carol Campbell; brother-in-law, Dean Treadway of Whitehouse, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; Julius and Evelyn; husband, Gilbert Crabtree; stepsons, Larry and James; stepdaughter, Patricia; 1 brother; 4 sisters; 1 sister-in-law; and 2 brothers-in-law.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, August 24th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Swaisgood officiating. Graveside services will be held at Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky and laid to rest next to her husband, Gilbert Crabtree.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland of Perrysburg, 10540 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
