Mary C. Carr, age 66, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, September 14, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born December 3, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold and Margaret (Pinkerman) Henneman. Mary was a 1966 graduate of Libbey High School and was married to the late, Ray B. Carr.
Mary was a cook for the Maumee Youth Center for several years until its closing, and most recently, The University of Toledo. She was a member of the Swanton Seventh-day Adventist Church, and cherished being a Nana - her grandkids were her life.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cynthia Carr; son, Michael J. Carr; grandchildren, Dustin O. Fuller, Michaela R. Fuller, Jesse A. Carr, and Kevin Sampico. Also surviving are her siblings, Jerry Henneman, Larry Henneman, John (Judy) Henneman, Tom Henneman, Donna Cutcher, Emil "Bones" (Connie) Henneman, and Jim Henneman; as well as hundreds of nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Henneman; husband, Ray; and brothers, Joe and Ronnie Henneman.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, September 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Fortune officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
