Marvin Pasch, age 86, of Swanton, Ohio, was busy working in his yard and raking leaves, Tuesday afternoon, November 9, 2010, when he was called Home. He was born July 6, 1924 to Helen C. (Grieger) and Edward Pasch. He was a great athlete, playing basketball and baseball for Libbey High School, graduating in 1942. Marv was a U.S. Army veteran enlisted from 1942-1945. In the 1940’s, he was crowned the Golden Glove Boxing Champion.
He worked for Penn Central Railroad and retired from Conrail on July 6, 1985. He enjoyed working outdoors and doing yard work. He was a member of Valley Wood Golf Club – he loved the game of golf and looking for golf balls. His greatest joy was watching his grandson play sports.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rheda (Sulewski); sons, James (Deb) Pasch, Robert (Loraine) Pasch; stepchildren, Robert (Teresa) Ondo and Kim (Rick) Peppers; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lois (Elmer) Wandersee and Maryl Pasch.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Pasch.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
