Martin Kenneth Topping, a longtime resident of Swanton, Ohio, age 92, died at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born October 19, 1915 in Swanton, Ohio, to the late Martin S. and Rose (Fetterman) Topping. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran who served in the European Theatre. He married Paulene Krause in 1946, and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2000.

Kenneth worked over 30 years for Dunbar Drilling as a well driller. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Valleywood Golf Club and V.F.W Swanton Memorial Post #8598.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Jerry) Gates of Anchorage, Alaska and Rachele (Don) Winans of San Diego, California, and grandson Douglas Gates, of Kenai, Alaska.

Interment at East Swanton Cemetery will be held at a later date.
