Marie A. Sahloff, age 71, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 5, 2011, at The Toledo Hospital. She was born February 22, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Maynard and Marie (Berndt) Taylor. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School and attended the University of Toledo obtaining her Masters Degree in History. On February 29, 1964, she married her loving husband, William Sahloff.
Marie taught math at Deveaux Junior High in Toledo. She was an animal lover, and member of the Toledo Kennel Club and Fulton County Ohio Kennel Club. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook and baker, and an avid University of Michigan sports fan.
Left to cherish Marie’s memory is her beloved husband of 47 years, William; children, Eric (Amy) Sahloff, Kurt (Lori) Sahloff, and Gretchen (Tim) Conradt; grandchildren, Kylie, Brody, Amanda, and Seth; and brother-in-law, Richard White.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister's, Clarabelle White and Frances Faunce.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, November 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where services will be held Wednesday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Denny Coates officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
