Margaret H. Dickens, age 83, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, September 1, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, following a recent heart attack. She was born July 21, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Clayton and Helen (Cruickshank) Navarre. She graduated from Scott High School – Class of ’46.

Margaret worked as a secretary for Houghton Elevator, Ohio State Highway Dept., Interstate Truck Lines, and retired from Dundee Truck Lines. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed traveling with her friends – her favorite trip was to Hawaii. She and her husband, Dennis enjoyed traveling out west in their motor home as well as to local area campgrounds.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, Glenn Dickens and Doug (Linda) Dickens; grandchildren, Katelyn, Emily, and Jacob Dickens, Jennifer Shelton, and Eric, Scott, and Cory Dickens.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and half sister, Annabelle Harmon.

Friends and family may visit Monday, September 5th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jay Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
