Marcos Santos Gonzalez, age 20, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning April 8, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born July 19, 1987 in Adrian, Michigan to Jose and Rosa (Garcia) Gonzalez. Marcos was a 2006 graduate of Evergreen High School. He loved playing basketball and Halo.

Marcos is survived by his parents, Jose and Rosa Gonzalez; brother, Jose J. Gonzalez; grandparents, Marcos (Florence) Garcia, and Dominga Romero; Aunts and Uncles, Laurie Garcia, Margaret (Shane) Stark, Sheila (Scott) Butler, Marcos Garcia III, Juan Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez, Gregorio Gonzalez, Ramiro Gonzalez, Rafael Gonzalez, Nicolas Gonzalez, Eduardo Gonzalez, Madelaluz Gonzalez, Luisa Gonzalez, Rosio Gonzalez and Dominga Gonzalez.

Marcos was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Michael Gonzalez; grandfather, Santos Gonzalez; great grandparents, Florencio and Erlinda Davila and godfather, Joe Davila.

Friends and family may visit Monday April 14th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419-826-2631). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, on Tuesday, April 15th at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Metzger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
