Marcia Silveous, age 63, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday afternoon, October 23, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 16, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Bernard and Ihla (Jacobs) Kreuz. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Assumption and on September 13, 1969, married her beloved husband, Robert Silveous.
In her early years, Marcia worked at The Pilliod Cabinet Co. and Hickory Farms, and before going on disability, worked as a cashier at the Kroger store in Swanton.
Marcia was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish, Swanton VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she served as President, and most recently a member of Wauseon VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved riding motorcycle with her husband, Robert, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 43 years, Robert; sons, Troy (Brenda) Silveous and Chris (Cari) Silveous; daughter, Debbie Ray; grandchildren, Bailey, Damien, and Matthew; sister, Diane Koepfer; sister-in-law, Jeannine Kreuz; aunt and uncle, Theresa and Wayne Farnsel; many close family and friends; and special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Karen Silveous.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lennis Kreuz; and brother-in-law, Raymond Koepfer.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, October 28th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, October 29th at St. Richard Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Promedica Hospice.
