Mamie Olive Moore, age 91, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday evening, May 27, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born June 18, 1917 in Hartville, Missouri to Warren and Daisy (Peacock) Roberts. She married Glenn Raymond Moore, and he preceded her in death.
Olive was a member of the Delta Assembly of God and life-member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and loved to cook for family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Denver) Summers, Annette (Raymond) Nies, Ron “Duck” (Pam) Moore and Michael Moore; over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mildred (Kenny) Greene, Junior Ray “Jack” (Bev) Roberts, Erving Lee “Moody” (Nancy) Roberts, Jean (Red) Ellis, Kenneth “Preacher” (Marilyn) Roberts, Bob (Jean) Roberts, Bill (Sherry) Roberts, and Peggy Lira.
Besides her husband, Glenn, Olive was preceded in death by her parents; children, Billy Ray Fenton Moore, Raymond Gene Moore, Marcus Edward Moore and Clara Faye Butler-Logue; grandchildren, Travis D. Moore and Jeffery S. Baranski; siblings, Dorothy Visnosky, Joe Roberts, Goldie Lind and Shirley Watts.
Friends and family may visit Friday, May 29th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Visitation and funeral services will continue at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Hartville, Missouri, followed by interment at Moore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Assembly of God Building Fund, 405 W. Main St., Delta, OH 43515.
