Lona Jane Wagner-Franz

Lona Jane Franz, age 94, of Archbold, Ohio, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday morning, October 25, 2011, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. She was born January 28, 1917 in Swanton, Ohio to Charles E. and Florence (Gilbert) Jacobs. She married William L. Wagner, and he preceded her in death in July of 1967. She remarried to John Franz who preceded her in death in November of 1988.

Jane was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish in Swanton.

She is survived by her children William C. (Janet) Wagner, Louie James (Debbie) Wagner, Diana Jane Ward, John Patrick Wagner, Michelle A. (Zimri) Riddle, Thomas E. Wagner, and Timothy A. (Carol) Wagner; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa A. Octaviano and son, Joseph M. Wagner.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.

at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Drive in Swanton, where visitation will be one hour prior. Fr. Robert Holden will officiate.

Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Health Professionals, 230 Westfield Dr., Archbold, OH 43502 or the American Heart Association.
