Linda Duke

Linda Duke, age 68, of Swanton, Ohio, died Thursday evening, June 5, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. She was born August 12, 1945 in to Charles and Dorothy (Saunders) Early. She married Corbly Edd Duke, Sr. on October 3, 1964. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2005.

Linda was a retired cook. She enjoyed making crafts, taking long walks across town, going to the library, working on her computer, and shopping with her son, Thomas.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Dawn) Duke, Corbly Duke, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Kimy Duke; grandchildren, Corbly Duke III and Krystyll Duke; great-grandchild, Aubree Rayne; and longtime friend, Beverly Herzig.

Besides her husband Corbly, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son, Charles Edward Duke; and brother, Charles Early.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, June 10th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Interment will take place at a later date at Swanton Cemetery on Centerville Road.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Swanton Public Library.
