Lester F. Serr

Lester F. Serr, age 62, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday morning, August 31, 2014. He was born January 28, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Norman and Lela (Borsos) Serr. On August 9, 1980, he married his beloved wife, Bonita Koperski.

Lester worked as an auto body repairman for Airport Auto Parts in Swanton for 30 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Tigers fan. His favorite hobby was flower and vegetable gardening.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 34 years, Bonita; children, Leslie Burghardt, Alec (Jordin) Serr, Bobbie Jo Burghardt, and Melanie Koperski; 10 grandchildren; brother, Stephan (Vickie) Serr; nephews, Stephan II and Justin Serr; and sister-in-law, Kathy Veres.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather, Herb Hartsel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
