Leota Claire Pupos, age 95, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Sunday morning, November 28, 2010, at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. She was born August 3, 1915 in Metamora, Ohio to Clare and Frances (Simpson) Gormley. She graduated from Metamora High School Class of 1932 and married Karol Pupos. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1995.

Leota worked for Lutton Dental Laboratory making dentures. She was a member of Fulton Union Christian Church, and loved reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching golf on television.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karol, Jr. (Beverly) Pupos of Presque-Isle, MI, Michael (Beverly) Puppos of Whitehouse, OH, John (Donna) Pupos of Delta, OH, and Rebecca (Howard) Winters of Toledo, OH; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband Karol, Leota was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Puppos; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.

Friends and family may visit Tuesday, November 30th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.
