Larry Ralph Bailey

Larry R. Bailey, age 60, of Maumee, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born April 27, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio, to Ethan and Helen (Eskilsen) Bailey who preceded him in death. He was a 1973 graduate of Bowsher High School and was an employee of Rossford LOF until its closing. Larry was a member for many years at Maumee Valley Church.

Larry loved baseball and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He also was an accomplished self taught drummer, and his mentor was Ringo Starr.

Larry is survived by his loving sister, Linda and her husband Dennis Leslie, of Swanton, OH; nephew, Steve (Julie) Leslie, of Toledo, OH; niece, Diane (Troy) Keel, of ND; great-nephews, Jesse and Jamie Keel; and special feline companion, Baylee.

Friends and family may visit Saturday, February 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St., Swanton, Ohio 43558 (419.826.2631), where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tom Stuber officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery in Tedrow, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
