Kathleen “Katie” Smallman, age 19, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, due to injuries from an auto accident. Beloved daughter of Rex and Ann (Smith) Smallman, she was born on July 5, 1992 in Toledo, Ohio.

Katie is survived by loving parents, her brothers, Nick and Brett; grandparents, Frank and Chloe Smallman and Ruth Smith; and a large extended family.

Katie was a 2010 graduate of Evergreen High School and a sophomore at Bowling Green State University.

Family and friends may visit Friday, November 4th from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St., Swanton, Ohio (419-826-2631), where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where visitation will be one hour prior. Fr. Ron Schock will officiate. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.
