Karen LaVigne, age 69, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning, September 13, 2008 in her home. She was born March 16, 1939 in Chardon, Ohio to Sherman and Anne (Morris) Sperry. On June 16, 1984, she married Lary R. LaVigne, Sr.

Karen was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, flowers and horses.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lary; children, Debby Good, Robin Reau, Sheri Gore, April Hanus, Chris Corell and Michelle Gregg; grandchildren, Crystal Josza, Rayanna Fox, Alisha Corell, Justin Hart, Amber Gore, Ryan Gore, Brandon Hanus, Katie Gore, Colton Hanus, Drew Hanus, Christopher Corell, Sean Corell, Macey Corell and Monique Mosser; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Kip Sperry; nephew, Daniel Sperry and niece, Kim. She is also survived by stepchildren, Lary LaVigne, Jr., Thomas LaVigne and Jennifer Cacchi and step-grandchildren, Abby and Beau LaVigne.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jimmy Corell and sister, Sandra Gregg.

Friends and family may visit Monday evening, September 15th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Brian Haller officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
