Joycemarie Brick

Joycemarie Brick, age 85, of Swanton, Ohio, was born May 10, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Cyril and Helen (Fauble) Brick. She entered into eternal life Friday morning, December 20, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She leaves behind a legacy as a devoted farmer and bedding plant grower at the family business, C.J. Brick Greenhouse, where her nurturing spirit and hard work flourished, much like the plants she tended with love. 

A graduate of Swanton High School, class of 1957, Joycemarie embraced life and delighted in the simple pleasures of reading and found solace in the pages of a good book. She loved her dogs and even operated a petting zoo.  Her adventurous soul often took her on trips across the country and journeys abroad, wherein she created treasured memories spent with her family.

Joycemarie is survived by her daughter, Sara (Charles) Sturt, along with her grandsons, Adam and Jared Sturt and Jacob Alan Brick; and many nieces and nephews.

Though her earthly journey will be missed, Joycemarie now joins her beloved parents, Helen (Fauble) and Cyril Brick; her sons, Andrew Joseph Kreuz and Alan Charles Kreuz; grandson, Andrew Jacob Kreuz and her brother, David Cyril Brick.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Visitation will continue Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holy Trinity (Immaculate Conception) Catholic Church at Marygrove, 1750 N. Raab Road Swanton, with Fr. Walter Tuscano presiding. Interment will follow at Marygrove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
