Joseph Stykemain, Jr

Joseph Stykemain, Jr., age 56, died Monday, March 5, 2012 in his Perrysburg Township home. He was born June 14, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph Stykemain, Sr. and Patricia Lambert (Moyer). Joe was a graduate of Evergreen High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He was owner of Stykemain Tree Service.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and fishing, playing golf, and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed playing poker and was a passionate sports fan. Joe especially loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Tigers. Joe raised several animals on his farm, and especially loved his dogs.

Joe is survived by his father, Joseph Stykemain, Sr. of Sylvania, OH, stepfather, Jerry Lambert of Swanton, OH; siblings, Patrick (JoAnn) Szozda of Margate, FL, Conrad (Jodee) Szozda of Rockwood, MI, Shawn (Sandy) Szozda of Perrysburg, OH, Robert (Gale) Szozda of Kingston, TN, Darrin (Rhonda) Mossing of Kingston, Renee Wiemken of Liberty Center, OH, Kurt Stykemain of Richmond, VA, Justin Stykemain of California, Jerry (Diana) Lambert of Howell, MI, Scott Lambert of Delta, OH, and Rick Lambert of Delta, OH; 25 nieces and nephews (to which he will be lovingly remembered as “Uncle Meanie”); and 5 great-nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; stepsister, Jackie Bailey; and stepbrother, Terry Lambert.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, March 8th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9th at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Jerry Lambert, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wood County Humane Society.
