Jorge Garcia, age 43, of Fayette, Ohio, formerly of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal rest, Friday, July 29, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 22, 1967 in McAllen, Texas to Jose Garcia and Juanita (Sierra) Alcevedo. On August 16, 1988, he married his beloved wife, Cynthia Smitley.

Jorge worked as a supervisor at Plastec in Wauseon until his health caused him to go on disability. He was a member of St. Richard Catholic Parish in Swanton. Jorge was an avid golfer both outside on the course and on Xbox 360. He enjoyed working puzzle boards and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Michigan Wolverine football fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Cynthia; daughters, Jessica, Nicole, Amanda, and Santana Garcia; grandson, Garrett Dziengelewski; granddaughters, Destiny and Audrina McFarland; sisters, Melissa, Ancy, and Isabelle; father-in-law, Edward Smitley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jorge was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita; stepfather, Abel; grandmother, Jesusa; and mother-in-law, Lydia.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, August 2nd from 10 am to 12 (Noon) at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Drive in Swanton, where a Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12:00 (Noon) with Fr. Robert Holden officiating. Interment will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery.
