John “Johnny” Rayoum, Jr., age 70, of Wauseon, Ohio; formerly of Swanton, passed away Thursday morning, December 9, 2021 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. He was born June 1, 1951 in Toledo, Ohio to John Joseph, Sr. and Virginia (Marksch) Rayoum. He married Alma Lois Crowder on July 16, 1970. Together, they built their home in Swanton, later moving to Wauseon.
Johnny was a self employed brick layer. He loved playing a good round of golf with his buddies and bowling. He was also an archery hunter enthusiast and member of the Adams Conservation Club. Above all, Johnny was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lois; daughters, Michelle Rayoum and Jennifer Rayoum; grandchildren, Lainie Rayoum, Makayla Elfring and Sydney (Kyle) Romanczuk; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Deckard Geiser; siblings, David (Gail) Rayoum, Melvin Rayoum, Denny Rayoum, Eddie Rayoum and Kathy Paul; brother-in-law, Chuck Crowder (Cindy Newman) and his son, Christopher D. Crowder; sister-in-law, Jeannie Crowder; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Rayoum and brother-in-law, Raymond Crowder.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 14th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where services will begin at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
