John E. Kinney

John E. Kinney, age 95, of Delta, Ohio, formerly of Lexington, Massachusetts, was taken to join the angels on Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born on March 9, 1918.

He was a former member of the Teamster, Local #25. Besides being an avid outdoors man who loved to hunt, he also enjoyed his quiet time with his horse, “Gray Boy”.

John is predeceased by his wife, Laura Kinney, who died in 1974.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Loretta and her husband Robert Petroni; son, John and his wife Alice Kinney; 8 grandchildren, Deborah and husband, Steve Curran; Theresa and husband, Dave Thorpe; Margaret and husband, Gordan Matthews; Eleanor and husband, David Minke; Lori Ann and husband, Rod Newland; Tina Marie Petroni; Beth and husband, George Parkinson; and John and wife, Karen Kinney. He also will be missed by 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury, Wednesday at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 2:00-8:00 pm. Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
