John Charles Kellogg, age 74, of Swanton, Ohio, met His Creator face to face, Monday evening, April 15, 2024. John was born May 13, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to William Richard and Marion Pauline (Newburg) Kellogg. John was an individual who touched the hearts of many. His life's journey was one filled with love, dedication, and service to others and His Creator.
John's passion serving others was evident from a young age. After graduating from Minnetonka High School in 1967, he continued his education at Bethany Fellowship Missionary College in Bloomington, Minnesota. It was this strong foundation that led him to become a youth pastor at Swanton Missionary Church. During his time there, he was introduced to Pamela Seeman, who would become the love of his life. Their union blossomed into a 51-year-long marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other.
In his professional life, John dedicated 25 years to Jeep as a skilled welder, before retiring in 2008. Not one to rest idle, he continued to share his expertise by working part-time at a welding shop in Archbold, Ohio.
After retiring, John and Pam made the decision to move to Washington state to be closer to their sons. They spent 12 wonderful years there before returning to Swanton where they resided for the past year and a half.
Throughout his life's journey, John never wavered in his faith or commitment to serving others. He was actively involved with El Shaddai Ministries in Washington and lent his support to Bethel Assembly of God in Perrysburg, Ohio, and the Worship Barn in Holland, Ohio.
John's impact extended beyond his professional and religious affiliations; it resonated deeply within his family circle. Besides being a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Pam; John was a loving father to Jeffrey (Stefanie) Kellogg and Justin (Rebekah) Kellogg; his grandchildren Madison (Darren) Cieply, Kyle Kellogg, Noah Kellogg, El Kellogg, Ayla Kellogg, Abby Kellogg; great-grandchildren Lily, Gwen, and Marion Cieply; his sisters Kathy (Dick) Young, Joey (Skip) Russell, Sue (Jim) Lenton and sister-in-law Marguerite Kellogg. John was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Kellogg.
John lived a life guided by faith and love for those around him. His warm personality and devotion will forever be engrained in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
