John Joseph Eisel

John Joseph Eisel, age 70, of Berkey, Ohio, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Swanton Valley Care and Rehab after a long illness.

John was born on February 7, 1942 to Steven and Esther (Miller) Eisel. He was employed at Dana Corporation and the Chevrolet Transmission Plant in Toledo, Ohio. He also volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes local food bank.

Surviving are his brother, William (Barbara) Eisel of Berkey, Ohio; and children, John B. (Celeste) Eisel of Moor Park, California, Timothy (Wendy) Eisel of Metamora, Ohio, and David (Monica) Eisel of Fair Oaks, California. Also surviving are four grandsons, Tyler, Jacob, Gavin and Austin Eisel; nieces, Denise and Brenda Eisel; and nephews, Dennis and Chris Eisel.

Gathering of family and friends will be held at Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, Ohio from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd 2012.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Local Food Bank.
