John Dennis Aliemenious, age 55, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, September 11, 2008, in the Fulton County Health Center emergency room. He was born on July 10, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Christopher P. and Louise Marie (Robertson) Aliemenious. On October 2, 1970, he married Madonna Miller.
John worked for the Sylvania Schools for 16 years as a boiler operator. He loved camping, golfing, music, riding his motorcycle and most of all spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a very sociable man and quite a jokester! John was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for people.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Madonna; son, Jason (Renee) Aliemenious; daughters, Donna (Steve) Never, Jamie (Nathan) Barkimer, and Jennifer Aliemenious (Joe); brothers, Guy Aliemenious, David (Jody), Marty (Jerrie), Mark, Steve, Jerry (Teri) and Lenny (Mary) Aliemenious; and sister, Sherlyn (David) Hinch. John is also survived by 7 wonderful grandchildren, whom he dearly loved!
John was preceded in death by his children, Sandra Lynn and John, Jr. Aliemenious.
Friends and family may visit Sunday afternoon, September 14th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Donna Stutzman will officiate. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
